Tempting to make a puntastic joke about the all-over-the-news rev. Flowers here, but I will refrain.
Instead, let’s revel in what is, I think, the best example yet of a building succumbing to nature in our very midst:
Followed by some other fine examples that had me kicking myself for not upgrading my phone earlier. Actually, I was cursing the loser I bought it from on eBay that didn’t post it until 5 days after I won the auction. T*sser.
Just around the corner from Shudehill, at the start of the Northern Quarter proper, are a few fine examples – this being one of them. It looks like this might be a balcony, or roof garden – but no! This is a majorly un-looked after roof.
All to the benefit of these trees/shrubs:
Probably pushing it a little with this one, but the paintings on the old elevator shaft meant I simply couldn’t let this one pass by.
The iPhone 3GS camera is really showing its limitations here. A better phone is on the way – bought especially for all you treesonbuildings fans!*
*may not be true.
I spotted this fantastic specimen whilst in a traffic jam this morning. I must return to the spot when I have my camera and more time, but I couldn’t resist posting this taster straight away.
I caught these badboys after returning from a trip to the Apple store. I think the right hand “tree” is really a bush, but I’ll let that go on this occasion.
Welcome to Treesonbuildings.
Over the next few years I will be posting some pictures of buildings with trees on them.
